The article reports on the decision of cable networks to use do-it-yourself approach in creating or adapting video-channel content for use on broadband services in the U.S. The basis of CNN Pipeline, the multiscreen news-on-demand Internet service, is similar with the infrastructure of CNN.com. Vlogs or video blogs are being envisioned by Jeanne Rothermich, vice president of interactive strategy at Microsoft and National Broadcasting Co.
