The article presents the editor's gratitude to the readers for their support to the periodical and sending feedbacks and suggestions for improvement. Readers have been contributing for the Research Fund established by the periodical. A law student at the University of Washington, who is focusing on public lands and natural resources thanked the periodical for helping him to tell his teachers about the developments in the West. A Rock Springs subscriber suggested to present the facts regarding government policies. The periodical also asked readers to rate the publication's editorial slant. Caren von Gontard, a biodynamic farmer from Australia came to the publisher to buy an "High Country News," T-shirt. Some of the readers visited the office of the publisher including Warren and Jennie Schafer, natives of Paonia and Beau MacGregor.
