People those who are seeking initial certification as a library media specialist need to obtain a Master's Degree media according to the proposed rule change considered during a rule development workshop of the Department of Education of Florida. The Department of Education and the Department of State has jointly announced that the Florida Electronic Library would be furnishing certain databases to all public school students. Students across Florida can access to these databases free of cost through a subscription to the Thompson Gale electronic databases.
