ABSTRACT
The article cites the findings of a report which reveal that venture capital investments in the healthcare industry are on the rise. However, the report does not highlight the fact that the coming year is likely to be difficult for public market exits. Kirk Walden, the national director of venture capital research at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and one of the authors of the report, said that venture capitalists will need to have a balanced view of their exit strategy. The report was prepared jointly by MoneyTree Survey , Thomson Financial Venture Economics and the National Venture Capital Association.
