ABSTRACT
The article presents information on Libya. Libya is in North Africa, with Niger, Chad, Sudan and Egypt as some of its neighboring countries. Islam is the religion of all Libyans. All of the nationals are Sunni Muslims living with Christian foreigners. With the proclamation of its independence on December 24, 1951, the country is transformed from a constitutional monarchy to revolutionary republic. Also, following its independence, the country undergoes economic development with the discovery of oil.
