The article provides information about the healthcare boutique, Cain Brothers & Co. It states that it advised Deere & Co., the giant farm equipment maker, on the sale of its in-house employee health insurance unit, John Deere Health Care, to United Health Group for $500 million. It kept the entire deal under wraps until the moment it was announced last Tuesday. The two main Cain bankers who worked on the deal were Edward Fishman, who joined the firm in 1996 from the Chemical Securities unit of Chemical Bank, and William Goss, who joined in 2001 from Value Health.
