ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the marketing plans and developments of the rug industry in the United States. Surya Carpet company works closely with furniture makers to develop exclusive lines available only through furniture stores. Jaunty Rug company, a traditional rug importer, is teaming up with furniture stores to develop full rug departments on a concession basis. The companies Safavieh and Abbyson Corp. have introduced furniture and home accents collections to complements their rug offerings.
