ABSTRACT
The article reports that law firm Coudert Brothers LLP remains a hot topic of debate, despite the deadline for the firm's break-up having lapsed. Michelle Harpur, managing partner of Coudert's Australian arm, claimed that the firm would cease paying its staff by November 16, 2005. The Australian office have formally parted with Coudert but the winding down process appears to be taking longer than originally expected.
