ABSTRACT
The article reveals that marketing expenditures by lawyers averaged only 1% of their annual gross receipts in 1985, according to a survey reported in the July and August issues of the "Altman & Weil Report to Legal Management." In 1986, lawyers allotted a slightly lower budget for marketing. Client entertainment and sponsorship for charitable projects cover the largest part of marketing costs.
