Sporting News;12/30/2005, Vol. 229 Issue 52, p47
This article focuses on various college basketball players in the U.S. Since Bruce Pearl took over Tennessee State University's basketball team last spring, he has succeeded in improving the team. It's most obvious in the play of player Chris Lofton, who has gone from being adept at making long-range shots to a strong guard with an ability to attack the goal and keep defenses off-balance. Villanova University's player Curtis Sumpter has not ruled out returning from knee surgery to help the team win a national championship this season. Sumpter is recovering nicely from his injury.
