Summer's risks are winter's rewards

Yorio, Kara

Sporting News;12/30/2005, Vol. 229 Issue 52, p40
This article focuses on various ice hockey players in the U.S. The summer of 2005 was unique for the National Hockey League, and some high-profile teams made huge acquisitions. Peter Forsberg signed as a free agent for the Philadelphia Flyers team. Forsberg can be the game's best player or a frequent Flyer on injured reserve. Tony Amonte signed as a free agent for the team Calgary Flames. Amonte is proving to be a better pickup than expected, given his struggles during his previous two seasons. If he maintains his current pace, the Flames will be getting a nice return on their investment.
