ABSTRACT
The article features a web site established by Alan Cassels of the University of Victoria School of Health Information Science which deals with inaccurate medical news in Canada. It rates the reports based on a 5-star scale. Two reviewers from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Media Studies Unit were selected to analyze the stories through an 11-point checklist. Funding for the site was provided by Industry Canada.
