ABSTRACT
The article argues that the salvation for Africans hinges upon employing indigenous African educational paradigms which can be subsumed under the rubric of ubuntugogy, which the author defines as the art and science of teaching and learning undergirded by humanity towards others. The paper also discusses the debilitating effects of western education and African cultural resilience. It explores the distinctions between pedagogy, andragogy, ergonagy, heutagogy and ubuntugogy.
