ABSTRACT
The article informs that Shurgard Storage Centers Inc. is exploring the possibility of a sale, and is reporting interest from several parties. The self-storage real estate investment trust commented in this regard that it has signed confidentiality agreements with several interested Parties including Public Storage Inc., a Glendale, California-based self-storage real estate investment trusts. Public Storage had made a bid for Shurgard, which the latter had rejected. Under the agreement with Shurgard, Public Storage is allowed to participate in Shurgard's process of exploring its strategic alternatives.
