ABSTRACT
The article discusses the importance of employee assistance programs (EAP). EAP provides confidential counseling and referral services for a large number of personal concerns, often at no cost to the employees. Some EAP offer locator services for childcare, eldercare, summer camps and colleges. They also publish tips on ordinary life issues in their electronic newsletters and Web sites.
