Sporting News;12/23/2005, Vol. 229 Issue 51, p69
The article focuses on the football team New Orleans Saints. A free agent-to-be the team wants back is fourth-year C LeCharles Bentley. He has the brains for line calls, the strength to open holes in the running game and a nasty style that rubs off. FS Dwight Smith and second-year RE Will Smith have been the two most consistent and dynamic playmakers on the team. Because of the versatility and swagger he brings to the defense, Dwight Smith has been the best fit of any free agent the team has signed since adding WR Joe Horn in 2000. The run defense is struggling because the team's defense is built more to stop the pass with a dynamic quartet of pass-rushing ends and smaller, athletic tackles.
