Henry, George
December 2005
Sporting News;12/23/2005, Vol. 229 Issue 51, p69
The article focuses on the players of the football team Atlanta Falcons. Ronnie Heard isn't a major upgrade at free safety but should be an improvement over Bryan Scott, who has been struggling. Unlike Scott, Heard won't hesitate to hit, and Heard won't suffer breakdowns in tackling technique. In Heard and SS Keton Carpenter, the team has two aging starting safeties who lack speed but compensate by recognizing formations and staying in position. WR Roddy White needs to improve his recognition of zones that allow more room underneath than over the top, but he works hard, blocks on running plays and always runs efficient routes.
