ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the initial public offering (IPO) of Under Armour on November 18, 2005. The Baltimore-based Under Armour launched its IPO under the symbol UARM on the Nasdaq exchange. The listing resulted to $123.5 million capitalization before underwriting expenses from the sale of 9.5 million shares. The Class A shares were priced at $13 after opening at the initial $31 per share which increased to a high of $40.
