This article reports that college basketball players Adam Morrison and J.J. Redick remain serious contenders for the national player of the year awards in the U.S. that will be presented at the end of the season. Last week began with Morrison scoring 43 points for Gonzaga University and ended with J.J. Redick scoring 41 points for Duke University. Morrison racked Michigan State University's defense for 43 points in a three-overtime victory at the Maui Invitational tournament. Redick scored 29 points in a win at Indiana.
