DeCourcy, Mike
December 2005
Sporting News;12/23/2005, Vol. 229 Issue 51, p24
The article presents information on some of this season's top basketball seniors in the National Basketball Association (NBA) series. The year before, Kwame Brown had been the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft. After that, anything seemed possible for the elite prep basketball prospects. Brandon Roy of Seattle SuperSonics entered the 2002 draft after his senior year at Seattle's Garfield High. He was invited to work out for three teams but did so only with the nearby Portland Trail Blazers because he had to pay for his travel to retain the option of attending college.
