The article presents information on programs, books, motion picture and techniques related to children with learning disabilities. The Wilson Syntax Program by Mary Sweig Wilson is comprised of a set of 25 structured lessons for the instruction of primary school children with language deficits. It is based on the assumptions of modern linguistic theory that children must learn the rules of ordering words in sentences before they can adequately express themselves or understand others. Richard Woodcock's Woodcock Reading Mastery Tests comprise a battery of five individually administered reading tests. The five tests include: Letter Identification, Word Identification, Word Attack, Word Comprehension, Passage Comprehension. Two alternate forms are available. The 50 minute color film "Can I Come Back Tomorrow?" demonstrates the behavior modification approach to teaching and controlling children with learning disabilities. The book "Affective Humanistic Education," by Robert E. Valett, deals with social reinforcement techniques for effective education. The book "Learning Disabilities: Diagnostic-Prescriptive Instruments," by Robert E. Valett, is divided into three section. Part one covers the nine step diagnostic-prescriptive process, a model for psychoeducational evaluation, and the components of the psychoeducational report.
