ABSTRACT
The article presents information on college basketball coaches Dane Fife. Fife is one of the few coaches who has played in the Final Four. But unlike Bob Knight and Billy Donovan, Fife played when the games actually were on television. Fife, at 26 the youngest coach in Division I, is not even four years removed from the 2002 Final Four in Atlanta, Georgia, when his Indiana Hoosiers lost the title game to Maryland. Fife had been on the Indiana staff, working for Mike Davis, but believes he prepared his entire life for this opportunity.
