ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the global systems for mobile communications (GSM) technology of Cingular Wireless called Edge which will provide services at 70 Kilobits per second (Kbps) to 135 Kbps. The technology is capable of streaming audio and video from Web sites to Cingular cell phone customers. Cingular will also launch its Universal Mobile Telephone Services in January 2006.
