ABSTRACT
This article presents information on the Kenai River in Southcentral Alaska. The Kenai River flows west 75 miles to Cook Inlet at Kenai, beginning at Kenai Lake. Ranging from Class I to III, with excellent fishing, the Kenai is considered as one of the most popular rivers in Southcentral Alaska. Although the river is glacial in origin, the lake allows the silt to settle before the river begins its journey to the sea. Incredibly aquamarine in color, the Kenai is considered a beautiful river.
