ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the terms and conditions in introducing a cooperative film library to public schools in the U.S. A cooperative film library is now solving the film problem for schools. The schools would purchase their own projectors and pay the postage on the films used. The films become brittle in a dry atmosphere, and a whole film can be ruined by one showing if it is too dry. Moreover, to teachers accustomed to using films the service becomes indispensable. But with the educational films on the market for 20 years it is surprising how many teachers and principals have never seen one. The cooperative film library can be surmount the one obstacle that has held back their use.
