Plenty of points still have to be made

DeCourcy, Mike
December 2005
Sporting News;12/16/2005, Vol. 229 Issue 50, p46
The article presents information on the prospects of basketball in the United States. Many basketball players played a ton of college basketball. Each has been a regular with a top team for three seasons but now is making the transition from the relative freedom of operating as a shooting guard to the heightened responsibility of playing the point. They have plenty of company. If one wonders why it seems turnovers in college basketball have been as abundant this season as phony Santas--there were 33 in the average Maui Invitational game--it's at least partly because so many prominent teams are in the process of converting players to the point guard position.
