Yasinskas, Pat
December 2005
Sporting News;12/16/2005, Vol. 229 Issue 50, p37
The article focuses on the American football team Carolina Panthers and some of its key players. Second-year CB Chris Gamble was hindered by an ankle injury early in the season but has come on strong in recent weeks. When healthy, Gamble has ideal speed and size. His recognition skills have improved tremendously; he also has cut down his mistakes and improved as a run defender. Look for WR Ricky Proehl's role to increase late in the season, particularly as a safety valve. Still without an effective running game, John Fox has been winning games despite not playing his kind of football.
