This article presents information related to the National Football League in 2005 in the United States. Boundless energy is part of Southern California coach Pete Carroll. Carroll's Trojans are on a 34-game winning streak, having wrapped up the 2005 regular season with a 66-19 ransacking of No. 12 UCLA, and they have the opportunity to win an unprecedented third straight national championship. Carroll acknowledges it's difficult to put such accomplishments into perspective as they're happening, but now is a good time to appreciate what Carroll's men of Troy have done. It is only fitting that to get to win No. 35, USC will have to beat its toughest foe of the past three seasons--No. 2 Texas, the one team that's every bit as capable of wearing out a scoreboard operator's finger as USC.
