ABSTRACT
The article reports that the housing boom in the United States may finally be at an end as sales of existing homes decreased by 2.7 percent and housing starts declined by 5.6 percent in October 2005. These results are expected to lead to a better balance between demand and supply and to enable the market to stabilize at more routine levels of growth.
