Mohawk Acquires Unilin; Partners With DuPont

The article reports that Mohawk Industries Inc. has completed the acquisition of Belgium-based laminate flooring products manufacturer and marketer Unilin Holding NV. The total value of the acquisition is estimated at 2.6 billion dollars and is being financed with debt. In addition, Mohawk has entered into an exclusive partnership with E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. to provide a new line of residential carpet to the flooring industry.
