Baristas jolt java sales

This article reports on the increase in coffee sales and customer counts of Motorola Hospitality Group after staffing a coffee station with a full-time and full-service barista. Plans call for the implementation of barista-style service at two more coffee stations in 2005, according to Carol Bracken-Tilly, manager of hospitality services for Motorola. She adds that barista service works best in sites with a minimum population of 1,000. One of these three sites has that population, while the other two have more than 2,500.
