ABSTRACT
This article discusses the impact of problem-based learning on the profession of teachers and on the learning of students. A problem-centered learning activity takes hold of a situation of confusion or uncertainty impending the learner's progress. However, a problem must be apparent to the learner in order to gain the desired result. The proportion of time for the implementation of problem-centered learning in the classroom has been a determining factor in the effectiveness of problem-based learning.
