ABSTRACT
The article reports developments on the tourist trade in Jamaica. The tourist arrivals for 2004 increased up to 4.8 percent. There were a total of 1,326,918 foreign stopover arrivals. Half Moon resort is renovating its children's activity center and telecommunications system, and initiating architectural work on a full-service spa and construction of a teen center. Riu Hotels & Resorts introduce the oceanfront, 846-room Riu Ocho Rios resort.
