ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the network-based model on Internet telephony developed by Gallery IP Telephony. The model envisions telephony as one application driven from a network of servers. Cellular providers are the biggest competitor of cable networks for telephone subscribers according to CEO Avihai Degani. Cable companies need to create voice over Internet protocol deals with their fellow operators to reduce costs and improve efficiency according to Degani.
