ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the decision of NBC Universal (NBCU) to convert the Trio arts-and-culture proponent from a linear channel to a Web-based offering through TrioTV.com and an icon at sister Web site BravoTV.com. It is speculated that the linear carriage of Trio will be placed to Sleuth, the mystery-and-suspense network of NBCU. The Trio broadband service will include documentaries and music. Trio was part of the acquisition of NBC with Vivendi Universal Entertainment.
