ABSTRACT
This section presents some recommendations on how schools and teachers can use children's literature to address the problem of bullying. Research supports the notion that bullying behavior is prevalent in schools, including elementary schools. Today's primary school educators are often confronted with a range of bullying incidents among students. A consistent body of research argues that children's literature is effective in helping children resolve problems. Targeted use of books that deal with bullies and bullying is one way for classroom teachers to address, and perhaps deter, this behavior.
