This article presents price updates on several chemicals as of November 14, 2005. Naphtha price declined following crude. A lack of sales opportunities to Asia and the U.S. has lengthened markets. Meanwhile, ethylene markets have quietened down as production difficulties have diminished. The strike at Shell's Moerdijk site in the Netherlands has ended and force majeure has been lifted. Butadiene prices declined as well, reflecting the global price-drift. INSET: PROMPT PX IS STILL TIGHT, AND DEMAND UNINSPIRING.
