The article compares the gearings of the cars, WRX STi, Lancer Evolution and HSV Club sport. HSV Club Sports tall gearing pulls over 70km/h in first gear, then 115km/h in second. Third gear is where it hauls and the big six-litre is pumping hard and holds an advantage with monstrous top-end pull. Lancer Evolution's 7500rpm shift in second gear nets 100.8km/h, providing its amazing 0-100km/h of 5.0 seconds. It's still pulling hard in third gear and beats the STi at the 400m mark, in both time and speed.
