This article presents information about the marine marketing opportunities in the U.S. which can be found among larger pleasure boats, inboard boats and sailboats. The U.S. powerboat market is growing with a compound annual rate of only 3.3%, but in view of recent circumstances, it is not bad. The number of boats in the 16-foot-to-less-than-26-foot range, has increased by nearly 29%. This is a gain of 30%, which is 70% over the average five-year gain for all boats. Boaters who trailer their under-16-foot boats can trade up and continue to trailer new purchases in the 16-foot-to-less-than-26-foot ranges.
