ABSTRACT
The article presents news related to the information services industry in the United States. The International Bar Association's (IBA) Directory of Members is now available online through the Lexis/Nexis services from Mead Data Central Inc. Users can explore the IBA's Directory of Members online by entering the Martindale-Hubbell library and then accessing a file named IBADLR. Questel has announced the release of the ECHOS database. The new file represents a major addition to Questel's series of business, financial and news databases. M.A.I.D., the market research, news and company information database, has dropped all connect charges for new and existing subscribers. The new pricing structure means that M.A.I.D. is dropping its standard charge of $45 per hour for online connection to its current and new subscribers. With each subscription of $10,000 a year M.A.I.D. is now giving 100 free connection hours and subscribers only have to pay the normal line fees on the news or market research information they actually need.
