ABSTRACT
The article reports on various developments pertinent to digital cinematography that occurred during the months of August and September, 2005. The ninth Annual DocuWeek Theatrical Documentary Showcase, which assists filmmakers in qualifying films for Academy Award consideration, was launched with a party. Director Noah Kadner was awarded the "Eye on Discovery Award" for Best Director at the Lake Tahoe/Reno International Film Festival. EUE/Screen Gems Studios relaunched as a full-service digital production complex in midtown Manhattan.
