ABSTRACT
The article discusses the plans of Jeff Abbas, president and CEO of the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC), for the organization. The NCTC represents the independent cable operators, their individual systems and their subscribers in the U.S. For Abbas, NCTC should participate in some issues affecting larger cable operators. Abbas also believes that the NCTC must be more aggresive in its price negotiations for set-top boxes and that it must bring its business concerns to the U.S. Congress.
