ABSTRACT
The article reports that DirecTV has launched high-definition Moving Pictures Expert Group-4 signals in Detroit, Michigan in 2005. The satellite-television service provider can now send two channels of high-definition pictures in the space that used to take one. DirecTV plans to use the space of three standard channels, instead of six channels, to deliver a high-definition channel.
