ABSTRACT
The article reports the Europe's first space mission to Venus to study the Earth's closest neighbor, ESA's Venus Express spacecraft took off from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on a Russian Soyuz rocket. The Venus Express use the high-resolution spectrometer that will measure atmospheric temperature and search for signs of volcanic activity on the surface, infrared and ultraviolet spectrometer will look for molecules of water, oxygen and sulphuric compounds thought to be present in the atmosphere.
