ABSTRACT
The article presents information related to hockey. The team Chicago Blackhawks' signing Nikolai Khabibulin seemed just the thing to make Chicago an instant contender. But he has not played well and now young star Tuomo Ruutu is out indefinitely to rest his painful back. Gone are Scott Stevens and Scott Niedermayer, replaced on the team New Jersey Devils' defense by Richard Matvichuk. The team Vancouver Canucks' Todd Bertuzzi played in front of the hostile crowd in Denver in late October, his first trip to Avalanche country since the attack on Steve Moore.
