This article presents information on Glance Wheels LLC that was launched in summer 2001 and began selling stylish wheels to wheelchair athletes. Demand for the stylish and durable wheels grew. Glance Wheels added more styles to its product line. First came the Terminator by Glance, then the Triton. Today, seven styles are available. Glance Wheels reportedly produces the only aluminum-billet stock wheel for wheelchairs. They are manufactured exclusively from 6061-T6511 billet-aluminum plate, machined to exacting tolerances, and minor polished. Glance wheels are RESNA/ANSI drop-test qualified. These wheels have no cracking, as with cast products. This is because billet uses a specific manufacturing process that yields a strong and cleaner product.
