ABSTRACT
The article reports that New Jersey law firm Lowenstein Sandler has triumphed over U.S. heavyweights in obtaining the role of adviser for the unsecured creditors committee in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings for Foamex International. The committee represents 500 plaintiffs who were caught in a discotheque fire in Rhode Island in February 2003. Foamex became financially distressed after one of its insulation products was found to have helped spread the fire.
