ABSTRACT
The article comments on initiatives in the food service sector to integrate healthy treats with fast-food style service in 2005. Meeting the demands of the increasingly hectic lives of consumers no longer means compromising their health or their palates. People expect good quality, freshly-made food delivered at speed, which resulted in the emergence of the 'fresh food fast' concept.
