ABSTRACT
The article reports on problems in the commercial real estate market in Chicago, Illinois citing the oversupply and low demand for real estate and properties. The operations of the office building, One South Wacker indicate vacancies depicting Chicago's depressed leasing environment. The increase in office buildings in the country and in Chicago is spurred not by demand by investors still trying to increase allocations to real estate.
