The article presents the author's views on those who have to fight the war on terror. According to the author, they are tough, smart, resourceful, inventive, and willing to die. They are not dependent on supply lines, have no capital cities to defend, no fragile infrastructure of transportation, communications, water, food, medical supplies on which they depend, they are patient, and will use any weapon or technique to attack the targets they choose at a time they choose.
